Leila Lopes has become the longest reigning Miss Universe with 420 days with the crown.
The previous record belonged to Miss Universe 2005, Natalie Glebova from Canada. Her reign lasted 419 days.
Don't get too excited though. Leila's reign as the most beautiful woman in the universe is due to the change of date of the pageant. This year the crowning ceremony will take place for the first time in the month of December. The Angola beauty had three extra months to enjoy the perks of being Miss Universe.
The beauty pageant will take place on December 19th with Andy Cohen and Giuliana Rancic hosting live from Las Vegas. By this time, Leila will have had the crown a total of 465 days, which will be pretty hard for future beauties to beat.
