Dolce owns 41.8 percent of the brand and is worth $2.2 billion, while Gabbana has a 40 percent stake with a worth of $2.1 billion.
The fashion mavens have joined the the likes of Sandro Veronesi (Calzedonia Group) who is worth $1.9 billion, Bernard Arnault (LVMH) who is worth $30.1 billion and Amancio Ortega (Zara) who is worth $57.4 billion.
